Silcadur AW is a high-performance oil specifically developed for core and mold fitting processes used in high-pressure die casting (HPDC) of aluminum.
By creating a controlled lubrication film on the mold and core surfaces, it prevents the metal from sticking to the surface during the initial run-in and break-in phases. This ensures that both the mold and core surfaces are prepared for production safely and evenly.
It allows for the fitting of new or revised molds and cores.
