Al\u2082TiO\u2085 possesses a high melting point (1860 \u2103 \u00b1 10 \u2103), a low coefficient of thermal expansion (\u03b1 &lt; 2.0 \u00d7 10\u207b\u2076 \/ \u2103 from room temperature to 1000 \u2103), and superior thermal shock resistance.<\/p><p data-start=\"556\" data-end=\"979\" class=\"translation-block\">In addition, it exhibits non-wetting properties with many melted metals (especially non-ferrous metals) and melted glass. Thanks to these properties, aluminum titanate ceramics have a wide range of applications in demanding operating conditions.
